At the moment there are an exhibit by an artist named Lena Cronqvist (you can read a little about her here>> in Swedish).
I can't say that I fancy those statues very much, but one of them I like a lot.
This sculpture of two girls bathing is the one I like and it is the only one that will remain after the end of this exhibit.In an article in the lokal paper (NWT, article in Swedish) I read the other day that the museum had used their entire budget for public art 2010 and another 50 000 skr from next years budget to buy the naked girls. They gave 550 000 skr for the statue! A lot of money, but the museum missed a piece from this artist who is from Värmland so I guess it was time to get one.

So good to see the museum supporting the artist. It may seem like a lot of money but a statue like that not only takes much time to make, but also has material and casting costs and artist need to live too.
