In the big city, between the library and Värmlands museum, is a big park where the kids can play and different artists can show their work.
At the moment there are an exhibit by an artist named Lena Cronqvist (you can read a little about her here>> in Swedish).
I can't say that I fancy those statues very much, but one of them I like a lot.
This sculpture of two girls bathing is the one I like and it is the only one that will remain after the end of this exhibit.
In an article in the lokal paper (NWT, article in Swedish) I read the other day that the museum had used their entire budget for public art 2010 and another 50 000 skr from next years budget to buy the naked girls. They gave 550 000 skr for the statue! A lot of money, but the museum missed a piece from this artist who is from Värmland so I guess it was time to get one.

What adorable statues!
SvaraRaderaThis looks like a mavelous place to visit. You must have enjoyed your time in this location. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
SvaraRaderaBellissime tutte quante :)
Looks like a very beautiful place to live. Thank you for this nice journey and escape. Please have you all a good Tuesday.

So good to see the museum supporting the artist. It may seem like a lot of money but a statue like that not only takes much time to make, but also has material and casting costs and artist need to live too.
SvaraRaderaI so like the boy riding the horse.
Thank you for sharing these nice and adorable statues photos
SvaraRaderaHave a nice week,

Marvellous sculptures. Looks like the children are having lots of fun!
SvaraRaderaThe smoothen top of the wall, was it deliberately made like that or was it made smoothen with all the rubbing of people sitting on it?
